RE: WW 5th 2805 SL

I am soon to be taking delivery of my 3rd Weekend Warrior an SL3005.I have had only 1 issue that was the fuel pump after 2 sets of gears it was fixed. About a half hour each time. I have looked at a lot of trailers and really none are what you would call four star living quarters....they are what they are a camper..the only other trailer that I would consider is a Ragen but.....they are made by Weekend Warrior.

RE: Well..got nailed for not having the non-com Class A DL

Well just got back from taking my Restriction 41 test pretty easy 20 questions. Nobody there new about the test I had to show them from the book I downloaded. They were looking for a sticker for the back couldn't find one.....so they said I needed a new licence.. Had to have my picture taken..but I noticed now on my temporary it says Class A.... is that right?

RV Endorsement

Those of you that have taken the RV test for the endorsement would you elaborate here on some of the questions asked. For instance is it 3 sections like the A and B test? Dose it cover air brakes. The check list for the big riggs?

RE: 1st Timer's, Buying a New/Used Toy Hauler

There is only a few haulers that I would recommend Weekend Warrior Fk 1900 or 2100 Superlite. Ragen which is also Weekend Warrior offers these models as well in their Ultra lite series. I towed the 1900 with my Silverado 1500 with no problems loaded weighed in at 7200 that is with 2 Bombardier 650s. How ever when I moved up to a 2500 Superlite I quickly changed my TV to a Duramax.....9000 lbs was to much and I could see transmission problems down the road.

RE: Good Flag Pole and Mount

I do not care to place our flag on the rear of the coach while parked:( Generally we are camped in areas that the back of the coach is into trees. I prefer to have ours on the front. I have not designed a mount yet for our coach. I had one made of aluminum and placed on the king-pin of our 5th wheels. Really looked good and everyone can see as the walking or driving through the camp ground:) Could you post a picture of this mount?

RE: Best price on Weekend Warrior

I bought my FS 2500 from Haulin Toyz, service was great and they had the best price! I just bought an SL 3005 from them should be done in may. Again best price and the best people to deal with. I won't go into my experiance with Giant...I still get quotes from them but Haulin Toyz beats them every time. I drive down from Northern California to pick them up the savings is that great.:)

RE: 2007 WW SL2805 Fuel Pump Short

You should be able to tell if the gears are binding, it will get to a point where it won't pump at all just blow the fuse. I ordered mine from Weekend warrior replaced them myself they swelled again after 2 weeks. Then I ordered them from the pump manufacturer installed them ( a 20 minute job) so far no problems....:)

RE: Lightweight Toy Hauler

Unless I am misunderstanding the question, why wouldn't a WW (or other brand) 21 footer not work? The ones DW and I have looked at had dual slide down queens in the rear and either goucho+table and dinette or goucho+table and two swivel chairs. In fact we almost bought a WW 21FK-SL but the price was too high. It looked like it would easily haul two full size quads and the weight wasn't too bad for a 1/2 ton to pull. Granted, it would put OP's truck near it's limits but with a decent WDH it would work. I know there are other brands out there that have 18-19 foot models that weigh less but have a similar floorplan to the 21FK. Exactly I would recommend the FK 1900...I had no problems with my 1500 Silverado!

RE: I'm in Love

Gee whiz Gale that was a bit snide don't ya think! Maybe even a lttle Rude!! Indiana try and stay within your means there are a lot of used Toy haulers out there. Better to go with a good Tow vehicle minumum 3/4 ton. Toy haulers are really heavy!!! There are a few towing threads on here that are very helpful. Good luck

RE: Trailer sales figures?

I am waiting 12 weeks for an 09 Weekend Warrior none available. I have had my 08 up for sale for over a month and No calls. I think sales have slowed quite a bit, for the used ones anyway!

RE: Cost of having fun

I have no plans to stop I just ordered a New Hauler hope to have it by summer...I have been having trouble selling the old hauler over a month and no calls, I think a lot of people are rethinking the fun factor verses fuel costs...for me the fun factor wins hands down!!

RE: Weekend Warrior Super Lite Owners, How Many

Me too! portscanner U R the 115th SL owner here and you have the same WW as we do. How you liking it???? We have been happy with it. The only problem we have had is when I converted it from one 12V to two 6V batteries. I found some shoddy work done with the wiring. Actually the discovery was a good thing, we could have had some major problems if I had not changed the batteries. 1. grommets were not installed on the wires leading from the battery through a hole in the frame and the insulation was being peeled off. 2. the negative lead from the battery was poorly connected to the frame. We upgraded from a Forest River 18LT. We were very happy with the Forest River, which was our first trailer. We got hooked on camping and started going out more and for longer periods of time, and it appeared that with the two of us and the dogs, the Forest River was shrinking in size. I have made quite a few mods to the WW that I will be posting shortly. Please do post your mods I have an SL 3005 on order can't wait.. we just out grew our FS 2500 after we found we were staying out for longer trips.

RE: backing into a campsite

An old farmer taught me how to use my mirrors while backing a trailer. Center the wheel grab the bottom of the wheel with one hand and move your hand in the direction you want the rear of the trailer to go. I was 8 that was some 44 years ago, still works like a charm:)

RE: anyone as particular as me?

I use the spray on bedliner. It come in a spray can....Kragen 7 bones a can. It doesn't rub of and has a nice tuff finish. Nothing to be ashamed some of us just like to go the extra mile and keep our toys nice. I do the frame rails tongue, fuel cell and axles.
